We took a new approach to our Sunday open studio programs for families this semester, leading to increased participation by members of the community, many of whom were new visitors to the Museum. In collaboration with an artist, a curator, and educators from WOUB Public Media Learning Lab, our student staff facilitated new experiences for our visitors during Art Encounters programs that highlighted the power of sharing.

Spring semester began with an outstanding collaboration within the College of Fine Arts to host a residency, workshop, lecture, performance, and exhibition with internationally known artist Carrie Mae Weems. Here, Ms. Weems meets with Ohio University students in the exhibition “The Usual Suspects.”
